NUDIE FOOTWEAR
2013-07-08Working with fellow Swedes KAVAT, the Scandinavian partnership starts off simple with two models. Firstly, the Majorna, a chunky take on the desert boots, Nudie apply their green credentials to this shoe with its ecologic leather free from chrome and other nasty substances. Second up, the Hisingen, a sturdy Chelsea boot, reinforced at the front and back with plenty of grip.
The leather itself comes with a bit of a back story. Rather than wandering off to Italy or Spain for their hide, Nudie develop a traditional Swedish Smorläder, leather tanned with plenty of fat to withstand moisture and develop an unique patina, a traditional method from a country with a strong history of producing top quality leathers.
