McQ ALEXANDER McQUEEN F/W 2014
2014-01-20Alexander McQueen‘s younger, more rebellious second line, McQ, unveiled its Fall/Winter 2014 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Capturing the essence of the whole line, with garments given a punk-edge through the use of red tartan on jackets and outerwear, tough, military boots, ripped jeans and shredded knitwear. Design features include razor-sharp accessories, zip detailing and leather patches. The faded jeans and bomber jackets seem to be an ode to another subcultures of the era – skinheads. While sharp double-breasted overcoats and ankle-length tailored trousers feel like a nod to Mods.
