CRENSHAW SKATE CLUB – JUNETEENTH COLLECTION
2024-05-13Crenshaw Skate Club has revealed its latest commemorative collection and it’s one that the brand’s founder Tobey McIntosh feels particularly proud of. In the California-centered outfitter’s Juneteenth delivery, the apparel pays tribute to prominent figures in black history and, specifically, pioneering black skaters who paved the way for brands like CSC.
Across a cohesive presentation of garments spanning graphic tees, button-downs and other cut-and-sew pieces, CSC intermingles both vintage and contemporary African diasporic imagery throughout.
Specifically, the collage button-up shirt stands out amidst the foray and really signals the intermingling of imagery from both time periods, leaning into an all-around grid-like pattern.
