ADIDAS ZX – THE ROOTS OF RUNNING EXHIBITION

Posted on 2018-11-26

The exhibition charts the evolution of a revolutionary high-performance shoe, serving as the perfect launchpad for twonew ZX releases from the adidas Consortium Workshop

The ZX series was first brought to life in 1984 during a time defined by its technological advances across various fields. Each shoe in the ZX series merged adidas’ sports-driven craftsmanship with high-performance functionality in a revolutionary approach that continues to inspire new adidastechnology breakthroughs to this day.

Curated by a group of adidas collectors, the showcase will feature over three hundred pairs of ZX models – from the OG models, to the A-ZX series, to memorable collaborative releases with the likes of Ian Brown, Crooked Tongues and A Bathing Ape. The OG ZX Series willfeature in a new limited-edition coffee table book that cements the prestige, creativity and technologies of the ZX series. The exhibition also showcases three forthcoming ZX releases; one from adidas SPEZIAL and two from the adidas Consortium workshop – including the all new ZX10000. The private view will play host to an ‘in conversation with’ original ZX footweardesigner Jacques Chassaing.
