Japanese artist Face Oka brings his minimalist style to Tatsuki Fujimoto’s devilishly popular manga / anime hit, Chainsaw Man. Oka’s style of lightening up dark, serious matters is a natural fit for the story’s over-the-top, dark humour.
In collaboration with AllRightsResserved’s Fwenclub, Oka has immortalized the story’s three main characters as vinyl art toys. The once hapless Denji—who eventually becomes the Chainsaw Man— and his empowering friend (and Chainsaw Devil) Pochita will be available as a 2-pack. Each bears Oka’s signature face styles. Denji wears the upside down smile, while Pochita’s smile graces its chainsaw blade — a frown on one side and a smile on the flip. Finally, there’s the devious Makima, the leader of a devil hunter team who turns out to be a devil herself. In contrast to the first two figures, Makima is presented as a vinyl bust.

Turns out monkey’s aren’t so good at following directions. Ron English’s monkey trio returns for some fast-food inspired mischief with the new MC More Evil Monkeys 3-figure set from Golem, a new label from French brand Artoyz. Following in the footsteps of the artist’s previous sendups of the red/white/yellow mascot, this set features one monkey hearing evil, one making an extra effort to see evil and another speaking evil, loudly and clearly with his ‘Grin’. There’s also a fun (creepy?) monkey + clown synergy here.

Throwing Stones is the latest collaboration between Japanese artist Yusuke Hanai and All Rights Reserved. Hanai continues his focus on urban life—simple, everyday, uneven and sometimes challenging. No hype, no bling, no over-the-top street fashion here. The piece features one of Hanai’s signature characters seen just after he’s launched a stone or perhaps pretending to do so. A way to pass time, ride the doldrums and reflect.
As with many of his other pieces, Hanai’s newest art toy has an unmistakable, unpretentious presence. We can all relate to the character as he finds his way through the days, sometimes bathing in the comfort of the unremarkable.

French artist Soasig Chamaillard’s creative, thought-provoking art blends the Virgin Mary with iconic pop culture. The upcoming Star edition of the cleverly-named Super Mary Oh! vinyl art toy from Artoyz features a colorful, rainbow treatment of the piece which combines the Virgin with the iconic video game hero. This is the fourth edition of Super Mary Oh! which follows the artist’s previous Sentai Maria figure inspired by the Power Rangers.
