NAYVA – A NEXT GEN FASHION & BEAUTY SHOW
2018-10-19Kyra TV launch a new digital TV show featuring a group of teens who want to change the conversation around fashion and beauty for a Gen Z audience. NAYVA is a girl group who want to make fashion less serious with their new digital TV show. In an age where sneakers and sweatpants can be high fashion, and makeup is more about experimentation and empowerment than concealment, the old rules no longer apply. These teens want to show that style and self-expression can be a carefree, entertaining and collaborative experience.
According to hosts; Faith (17), Esme (17), Jasmine (19) and Angel (19) they are by no means experts. These “novices” are an international girl group eager to spread their message about being yourself, having fun with style and not being afraid to go out of your comfort zone. Each episode, which drops weekly on the NAYVA YouTube channel, explores a new theme. From DIY fashion to experimental makeup, the girls explore trends and ideas across beauty, fashion, music, and art; taking inspiration from all facets of culture and creativity, old and new.
Episode one sees the girls dive into the hypnotic early 2000s, in a challenge to see who can create the most iconic Y2K look. Inspired by high fashion archives, Hip Hop and RnB artists, and celebrity idols of the time, the girls invite Jorja Smith’s stylist, Leah Abbot to judge their final looks…
