In 1985, MR VAMPIRE was a breakthrough movie success for the Jiangshi “Hopping Vampire” genre that combined slapstick comedy with scares and exciting fight choreography. It paved the way for multiple sequels & found a hugely receptive audience throughout Asia and in the west on the midnight cult cinema circuit.
