2024-11-04Insta360 has updated its Ace action camera series with the launch of the new Insta360 Ace Pro 2, building on its partnership with Leica from last year.
The Ace Pro 2 features an upgraded 1/1.3” 8K sensor that provides 13.5 stops of dynamic range, making it capable of handling the most challenging light situations. Its lens is made by Leica, a Leica Summarit lens with a 157-degree field of view.
There’s a new Wind Guard that helps to keep wind and other external noise at a minimum, as well as a new and removable Lens Guard that will help to provide users with peace of mind. Both of these accessories can be attached to and removed from the camera with ease thanks to its magnetic mounting system. The Ace Pro 2 features a new, bigger 1800mAh battery for longer shooting, as well as new modes such as Endurance Mode that further help to extend battery life between charges, providing “50% longer runtime at 4K 30fps” over the previous model, according to Insta360 .
