WHY DON’T YOU JUST DIE!

Posted on 2020-03-23

Matvey has just one objective: to gain entry to his girlfriend’s parents’ apartment and kill her father Andrey with a hammer to restore her honor. But all is not as it initially seems, and Matvey’s attempts to bludgeon the family patriarch to death don’t quite go to plan as Andrey proves a more formidable — not to mention ruthless — opponent than he anticipated… and Matvey, for his part, proves stubbornly unwilling to die.

MICHAEL WOLF – LIFE IN CITIES

Posted on 2020-03-23

For over four decades Wolf examined the layered urban landscape, addressing juxtapositions of public and private space, and anonymity and individuality in relation to history and modern development. Michael Wolf’s work on life in cities was always driven by a profound concern for the people living in these environments and for the consequences of massive urbanization on contemporary civilization. This commitment and engagement remained central throughout his career. The Robert Koch Gallery was the first gallery to represent Michael Wolf, and did so exclusively for many years, presenting Wolf’s first exhibition of his breakthrough project Architecture of Density in 2005 and later the first gallery exhibition of Transparent City in 2008. Our gallery is honored to have mounted numerous ground-breaking exhibitions of Michael Wolf’s work prior to his untimely passing in 2019.

MINAEMINAE – NACKENWIRBEL

Posted on 2020-03-23

On this seven track album we hear MinaeMinae (alias Bastian Epple) playfully scurry through his dense soundscapes on a tightrope. The sounds lying somewhere on the crossroads of psychedelic trance, exotica, ambient and melodic dance music – veering further off orbit with nontypical rhythms and dystopian percussive patterns.

XXRAY PLUS OSCAR THE GROUCH BY JASON FREENY

Posted on 2020-03-23

Following fellow Sesame Street stars Bert and Ernie, Big Bird, Cookie Monster and Elmo, Oscar the Grouch is finally making the jump to XXRAY Plus by Jason Freeny x Mighty Jaxx. Yes, the artist’s anatomical chops are on display. However, the design goes one step farther than the mini version from the recent Sesame Street Hidden Dissectibles series by extending the cutaway down into his home, a banged up trash can. It turns out that Oscar has quite the stash including an old rotary phone, megaphone and alarm clock.

Shipping July 2020.
