FUTURA X OFF-WHITE

Posted on 2020-03-30

Off-White add artist Futura to their list of associates, the Off-White SS20 collection is a one-stop show of Abloh’s balanced affinity with both streetwear and traditional menswear. The latter is seen across new spins on classic cuts, like the short-sleeved shirt.

Futura, most known for his graffiti works, adds his mark to pieces that opened and closed the show in Paris last year, including a casual tee featuring the artist’s signature Pointman figure and spray-painted jumpsuit.

SUPREME/AUTOMOBILI LAMBORGHINI

Posted on 2020-03-30

Automobili Lamborghini is an Italian luxury vehicle manufacturer founded in 1963 by Ferruccio Lamborghini. Born in 1916 in northeast Italy, Lamborghini established a highly successful tractor factory after serving as a mechanic in World War II. By 1960, he’d helmed several other businesses. Lamborghini then turned his attention towards a long-held interest: luxury sports cars.

In 1966, Automobili Lamborghini introduced the Miura, which featured a rear mid-engine and rear wheel drive. Its influential design and construction set a standard for high-performance sports cars globally and established the company’s dynamic legacy. The Miura’s name, and the company’s emblem, was inspired by Ferruccio Lamborghini’s interest in Spanish bullfighting. Many iconic models that have followed the Miura over nearly 60 years, including the Diablo, Murciélago, Aventador, Huracán and Urus – allude to bullfighting history. Automobili Lamborghini continues to set new benchmarks in innovation and performance.

Supreme has worked with Automobili Lamborghini on a new collection for Spring 2020. The collection consists of a Hooded Work Jacket, S/S Shirt, Hockey Jersey, Coverall, T-Shirt, Skateboard and Beanie.

Available online only April 2nd.

Available in Japan stores and online April 4th.

ELGER ESSER – INHERENT TIME

Posted on 2020-03-30

Esser is most widely recognized for his distinct approach to the genre of landscape photography. in his production of eternal images imbued with the sensitive vision of a Romantic. Rendered both in large-format and more intimately-scaled compositions, his serene, verdant photographs depict moments rooted historically, yet also in the present. Esser’s work builds upon a rich tradition of 19th century photography characterized by the grand Realist landscapes of French masters Gustave Le Gray and Édouard Baldus, as well as the great chronicler of the American west, Carleton Watkins. Whereas the approach of these forbearers realized still photographs entwined to their respective eras, Esser’s timeless images are detached from such specificity, evoking the everlasting.

LUOMO – VOCALCITY 20TH ANNIVERSARY

Posted on 2020-03-30

Vladislav Delay wrongfooted many with the Vocalcity LP that he released in 2000 under the name of Luomo. Previously best-known for creating dub techno, the crisp, lengthy deep house joints that made up this record had as much in common with Kenny Dixon Jr. and Herbert as they did with Basic Channel. However, Vocalcity found Delay excelling in these new surroundings by injecting a little of the atmospheric sensibility of his previous work into this cleaner style – see, for instance, how the perky shuffles of ‘Market’ and ‘Synkro’ are buoyed up by murmuring pads and vocals in the background of both. Shinichi Atobe is but one of the producers whose style owes a debt to the work Delay put in here. Vocalcity has been given a new mastering job for this new pressing.
