Y-3 WORLD CUP COLLECTION – IN FOOTBALL WE TRUST
2014-04-292014 is the year of football, Y-3 looks forward to the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil with a special capsule collection alongside the main Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
Ever a neutral observer of sports, Y-3 pledges alliance to the game itself. The simple slogan ‘In Football We Trust’ serves as the main message using 50´s iconography and the symbolic gesture and simple act of shaking hands to promote fairness on and of the pitch, taking inspiration from the spirit of good sportsmanship.
The small capsule of apparel, footwear and accessories references easy sportswear classics with a more elegant twist in black and white, leather trims, sophisticated track materials and smooth satins. Apparel items feature a woven crest, such as the black Tango Polo shirt, the ‘Shake Hands’ T-shirt in black or white and the black Letterman bomber jacket. Accessories include a cotton knit scarf on back featuring the ‘In Football We trust’ slogan, and an exclusive all black football. Y-3’s classic sneaker styles complete the collection with the Honja Hi and the all-time favorite Sprint, both available in women and men’s sizes.
