Warm Up is P.S.1’s critically acclaimed music series and has become one of the most anticipated summer events. The series is housed within the architectural installation created by the winner of the annual P.S.1 and MoMA organized Young Architects Program. Together, the music, architecture and exhibition program provide a unique multi-sensory experience for music fans, artists, and families alike.

Highlights from the series include a stellar group of international DJs and live music ensembles: DJ Harvey, Groove Collective, Lovebug Starski, Afrika Bambaataa, Prins Thomas & Hans-Peter Lindstrom, Mad Professor, Richie Hawtin, Danny Krivit, Trevor Jackson, Francois K, DJ Craze, Charlie Dark, Vikter Duplaix, Fischerspooner, Frederic Galliano, Kid Koala, Arto Lindsay, The Scissor Sisters, Ursula Rucker, Derrick May, Swayzak, Luke Vibert, XPress 2, Danny Wang, and many more.

VESTAX HANDY TRAX USB TURNTABLE RECORDER

An interesting new product is coming from Vestax – the Handy Trax USB Turntable Recorder. It plays vinyl and converts vinyl to WAV or AIFF up to 24bit/48kHz (CD quality is 16bit/44.1kHz) thanks to its USB interface. The handy trax USB comes with a built-in 4W speaker and offers volume controller fader as well. You can find line-in, line-out and, headphone out jacks. It was three play speeds, 33 1/3, 45, and 78 rpm.

THE ELOQUENT DELINQUENTS

An exciting new gallery has recently opened on Wooster Street in Soho, New York- The Eloquent Delinquents. The gallery carries workes from Damien Hirst, Seen, Russell Young, Kaws, Banksy, as well as signed obscurities from Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, John Lennon, Sid Vicious, The Rolling Stones and others. Furthermore they have an extensive section of antique books, featuring first editions and signed copies.

ALIFE PRESENTS

New York City’s Alife is coming full circle to where they began as a brand with the grand opening of a new gallery space called Alife Presents. This space will serve as the home to an art collective exhibiting the best and the brightest in the arts, both visual and non. The inaugural exhibit, titled Reckless Endangerment, will showcase new works from photographer/filmmaker Kai Regan.

This exhibition runs to the 12th July, 2009

CHEWING IN VENICE

Frankfurt based artist Simone Decker caught our eye with her giant bubble gum project, Chewing in Venice. The sticky sculptures have been stretched, chewed and blown up into a wide range of oversized bubblegum sculptures exhibited around the Italian city. Extraordinary.
