GREENLAND

Posted on 2009-02-09

A misleading name, if ever there was one. And as a travel destination people are basically a bit confused about this country. Amongst the adventurous few, however, it is gaining a reputation as the hottest new destination for extreme winter sports. For a completely different skiing holiday (definitely not for the faint of heart) we recommend heading for the stunning arctic scenery of eastern Greenland for some expedition style heli-skiing. This sensational experience will have you crunching over magical landscapes, negotiating sheer drops and marveling at perfectly untouched peaks before being escorted to your hunters lodge by local Inuit hunters on dogsleds. The experience of skiing through virgin powder in the middle of nowhere is guaranteed to get the adrenalin pumping. The bonus of having the mountains pretty much to yourself does have its downside however; there’s no one around to applaud your tight turns.

PEDLAR LIGHTBOXES

I love lights and I particularly love these lightboxes made from galvanised steel with a plastic front where the sign is. They can be wall mounted or just about put anywhere you see fit, so you can put that welcome sign above your door if you feel like it or alternatively do not disturb if your having a bad day at the office.

NETROPOLIS

Landscape as a Dream, deals with the flood of images which document reality in our media-driven age. As a counter pole, this exhibition aims to create the vision of a possible world which could be composed of paradox, chimera, and deceptive images. A world in which traditional social bonds have broken down and are replaced by loose couplings and vaguely defined communities.

From the 7th of February through to the 21st of March 2009 the gallery Studio la Città in Verona is showing the exhibition Landscape as a Dream, curated by Luigi Meneghelli and features works by Michael Najjar (opposite) plus, Enrica Borghi, Eelco Brand, Sheba Chhachhi, Remy Marlot, Julie Monaco, Kirk Palmer and Michael Wolf.

RALPH LAUREN BLACK SATCHEL BRIEFCASE

Posted on 2009-02-02

I love this new look from Ralph Lauren for the gentleman who prefers the neutral shades of leather over the classic brown and tans. A refined gentlemen’s briefcase, crafted for durability and style in luxurious calfskin with gleaming silver accoutrements.
It is a very sturdy expandable construction with three interior compartments and a middle compartment that is ideal for laptop storage making it perfect for my daily commute into the Exit office.
